In the heart of the Chevreuse Valley Nature Park, in Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines, the Moulin de Vilgris enjoys a prime location. Easily accessible, it is situated 45 km from Paris, 35 km from Versailles and Chartres, and just a few minutes from Rambouillet, the Saint-Arnoult motorway junction (A10) and the National Football Centre.
Built in the 18th century, this characterful residence once belonged to the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Clairefontaine. This former mill, which remained in operation until the last century, was powered by a stream that still flows through the grounds. The mill is nestled in the heart of a wooded park covering over 1.2 hectares, offering peaceful views of the pond, the forest and the river.

Is there on-site parking ? Yes, it is reserved for our guests. It is private, free and enclosed, out of sight.
Can we come by bike ? We hold the ‘Accueil Vélo’ label and are situated on the Véloscénie cycle route (Notre-Dame de Paris–Mont St Michel). A bike storage room is available (complete with a repair kit!). Bikes can be hired on-site through our local partnership (the bikes will be waiting for you at Le Moulin).
Is there access to the park ? Of course, it is at your disposal. Depending on the weather, sun loungers are available, and you can enjoy dinner with your feet in the grass, lulled by the sound of the river.
